Tucson, AZ, USA — Penmore Press has partnered with the What Would Love Do Foundation to provide emergency aid grants to Australian families and Australian volunteer fire departments via WhatWouldLoveDo.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
From Penmore Press publisher, Michael James, “Our thoughts and full support are with our fellow Australian authors and all of Australia during this time of devastation. We hope this crisis comes to an end very soon and that we can all work together to begin the healing process. Everyone’s participation is key to ending the crisis and recovery.”
“Any family or organization receiving funds must be verified referrals,” says What Would Love Do Foundation co-founder, Christine Horner. “Every dollar will go directly and immediately to those in need without lengthy red tape processes thanks to local friends and Penmore Press Australian authors with boots-on-the-ground oversight.”
Penmore Press will be designating a donation specifically to volunteer firefighters without masks to protect them from smoke and heat. What Would Love do says donors may request that grants be issued to specific families or organizations, or to be shared among families requesting the emergency grants.
