“Simply amazing”

A Turning Wind by J. G. Harlond, the second novel in The Chosen Man Trilogy, was an interesting novel to read.

There was something about this novel that had me hooked from the very beginning. The author added mystery, suspense and a lot of action that had me reading on and wanting more. By the time I finished [ ] I wanted to read the first part of the series and revisit this novel once again. This is the story of Ludo and Alina, two people who are bound by the heart, but destiny has other plans for them. While Ludo is on a mission for the Queen of England in the Spanish court, Alina is having her own problems with learning to live her life. Loving someone else and living with someone else is taking a toll on her, but what is more harrowing is to face Ludo on the opposite side of the fence. They could be great partners, but they have battles to fight and win. While Ludo is trying to do his job and come out alive, Alina has to make difficult decisions that might change her life forever. Ludo is a complex character; he is dynamic and he has layers that he slowly peels away (to enable us to) see him on the inside. Alina, on the other hand, is a sweet yet strong woman who knows what she wants and how she can get it. The plot itself is intense and action packed, which takes the story to the next level. The author did a wonderful job at creating an engaging and amazing story that simply blew me away.
